The Story Behind the Work

A flower does not last. Neither does this one, made from tea leaves, dried petals and seeds. It will slowly change as the materials settle and shift.

HONG XI chose impermanent materials deliberately. The work is not a fixed image but a slow conversation between the artist's arrangement and time itself. Beauty, here, is not stillness. It is the act of paying attention before the thing is gone.
