Broken ceramics, charred paper, thread and oxidised metal

Every broken thing carries the memory of its breaking. This work does not hide the fractures. It honours them.
Broken ceramics, charred paper, dark thread and oxidised metal are reconstructed into a composition that draws quietly on the spirit of kintsugi, the Japanese practice of mending with gold. What has been broken does not return to what it was. It becomes something that remembers, and continues.
